Mission Hills' "Dive-In" @ Deep Eddy Pool

Mission Hills' "Dive-In" @ Deep Eddy Pool

Deep Eddy Pool (map)

Join us for another addition of Church-As-Tribes as we all meet up at the Austin icon, Deep Eddy Pool. Break the summer heat & dive in to community!

Let's beat the crowds, find a patch of grass, and enjoy the spring fed pool in the summer heat! Deep Eddy doesn't allow coolers or food (water is okay). But, group meal at a nearby trailer or hotspot around 1pm sounds about right. For more info on rates, parking, & allowed items, visit their website.

Tribes exist to build community and express faith in both fun and tangible ways together. Minimally, we gather the first weekend of each month (in lieu of worship) as a “Laboratory” weekend to practice Rhythms of community, hospitality, compassion, &/or generosity.

Lake Day

Lake Day

Lake Club at Steiner Ranch (map)

Join us we gather all together - Tribes, friends, kids, neighbors - at the Lake Club in Steiner Ranch! We're boating, slip-&-sliding, fishing & swimming. There's restrooms, shade, grass, sand/playscape, tables, & a dock.

Bring dinner to grill, a picnic, or take out.

No charge, so bring your friends, neighbors, kids, roommates, coworkers, enemies, and "the least of these" as we practice Hospitality as an expression of faith & community.

...Someone say 'slide-&-slide'?? What?!?!

Backpack Blessing

Backpack Blessing

On the weekend before a new school year, there’s an opportunity to come together as a family, friends, and neighbors. It's a short & simple one-hour event with a little fun in the front yard, a short time of prayer & blessing, and frozen treat to cap it off!

Our plan again is to host several of these neighborhood events throughout Austin. Find a time that works on the weekend of Aug.19 & 20 that works best for Tribe mates, friends and neighbors.

* Bringing actual school backpacks is not necessary.
